If you are at SAP TechEd && d-code in Las Vegas, join us at the Hackers' Lounge to learn about the Internet of Things and build stuff up connecting data collected through sensors to SAP HANA Cloud Platform. We have BeagleBones, Arduinos, sensors, cables, etc. ready for you to work through some exercises and experience the flow of how to stream data from a sensor and visualize it in SAP HANA Cloud Platform.

We will also be building an IoT scarecrow using various technologies and cool toys during the three days of the event.

Update:

Update:

Click here for instructions on how to read sensor data, store it and visualize it in SAP HANA Cloud Platform - this was a short exercise used at the hands-on workstations with the BeagleBones and sensors in the IoT Lab. We will have something similar in Berlin!

Hi Helena,

This lookls absolutely fantastic! Unfortunately I was not at the TechEd this year, so I haven't been able to visit the hacker's lounge. I am very interested in how you managed to connect the Beagle Boards to HANA Cloud. Can you tell me a little bit more about that? Maybe share some scripts?

Many thanks,

Steven

Hi Helena,

Thanks for your response. I had actually already found this document, but was hoping you could help me with the specific function to send the data to HANA. On page 6 of the document, it says there is a specific function for this ( writeToHana( ) f ), but I cannot see the details of the function. Could you share the details of that function?

Many thanks,

Steven
