Hi,
I have 3 years experience in SAP BW/BI, i want to write SOLMAN certifications
I don't understand a few limitations set out to write a certification
1) is it necessary to be with current employer for 1 year to write a certification ?
2) Is it essential to undergo relevant SAP training ( which is expensive) to write certification ?
I wanted to find does this limitation apply only in India or is it the same policy worldwide
Request clarification before answering.
thanks

Hi
1) is it necessary to be with current employer for 1 year to write a certification ?
If you are going to take up direct certification i.e. without any training, then your company needs to issue some documents which confirm employment with them, so in this case it is mandatory that you be with your current employer atleast for 1 year to take up the certification.
2) Is it essential to undergo relevant SAP training ( which is expensive) to write certification ?
No,it is not essential to undergo formal SAP training if you have relevant experience in that module. But, If your employer does not sponsor you then there is no other way except taking formal training.
So, it is better you wait until you finish one year with the current employer and then take up the process of certification. In this way, you only need to pay the certification fees, nothing more.
The main irritating point is these limitations are only in India. So, it is better you write outside of India
Vishwa.
