Hi,
I have 3+ years of experience in SAP.But still getting confused about which path to choose and who am i ?
I spent my firstyear in developing BSP Applications.
and the other year i spent in ABAP reports(BDC,BADI,reports..).
And i have been in EP implementation team for the past 1+ year.
a)Have Implemented ESS,MSS in EP.
b)I was asked to create customized bsp applications for eleave and eOvertime and my client was not interested in implementing standard ESS with Work flow.
c)I have little knowledge in PCD,user admin and content admin in EP. I don't know Java/web Dynpro.
In Simple,I am good in BSP programming and comfortable with ABAP
and worked in EP content admin, user admin.Know HR PA,OM..
Which positions i have to look for?
EP Portal consultant / HR consultant / ABAPer .
is BSP hot in the market ?
Rgds,
JBP.
Hi,
1. Which positions i have to look for? EP Portal consultant / HR consultant / ABAPer .
You'll find it difficult to find a job as HR consultant as you have primarily worked in development roles and not in configuration ones. Since your focus so far has been ABAP/BSPs, you will find it easier to find an ABAP developer role. As far as EP Development Consultant is concerned, usually some JAVA knowledge will be demanded if you intend to apply for these roles. Occassionally, your BSP knowledge will do. So if you have the relevant knowledge, it shouldnt be a problem as well.
2. is BSP hot in the market ?
Its a nice to have and may be searching for jobs in your area will confirm if there is good demand for this.
Hope this helps.

this is a nice question. I too am confused. I have XI certification (developer), landed in Solution manager and configured scenarios but not installation. I have knowledge about R/3, BASIS, CRM, little bit of BW. All of them from business point but not installation point except BASIS. Now, which direction to move?
Thanks
Venky
