What is the future of SAP Functional Consultant?

Helo All.

Can anyone guide me regarding the future of SAP Functional consultants in the wake of impending technologies such as eSOA, Netweaver?

How these new technologies will change dynamics of job market for functional consultants especially MM and SD?

What new skills will be required by functional consultants?

Hi Anay,

The fundamental functional modules such as PP,MM,FICO etc will be always there with the same level of importance it is having as these are the core modules.

As the NetWeaver technologies concerns, yes here everyone have to learn about emerging stuffs like eSOA, ESA, etc as the NetWeaver technology is fully related to it.

I don't think that these emerging technologies will change dynamics of the core SAP functional modules but having knowledge of these will really be very beneficial to grow faster and to get the better understanding of SAP.
