Dear All

How can one develop expertise in SAP? I am into MM (fresher, you can say!) and currently working on IS retail project-support. Since it is quiet different and complex to what I've learnt I feel I am forgetting the actual concepts of SAP. I need your valuable suggestions on this. Is it a good idea to keep in touch with issues that are posted in these discussion forums related to my domain and explore the probable outcome or keep on studying MM-concepts all the time. Besides, I find it hard to recall sometimes due to this gap.

Please share your experiences.

I hope I've posted in right forum, am new to this.

Regards

SB

Hi,

I think that you need first what in SAP you want to gain expertise in. SAP isn't a product as such, so you first need to determine the product/tool you want to learn.

Then look within SDN for the info or maybe a course a www.sap.com/education

Hi Sahil,

SAP is a collection various things such as ABAP, many function modules, NW and many more. First you decide where you want to develop expertise such as in prgramming(ABAP) or in Function Modules(suc as FI,CO,MM,PM,HR etc.) or i other stuffs. As i can gues from your reply that you are looking further on Function Modules, then decide which module is of your interest. No one can be perfect in each module, just identify any single module and start getting expertise in that only. Be a master of single module rather than having less knowledge of everything. To be in touch with it prepare a short note on it which contain various transaction and different topics related to that module.
