Hi,
I'm an independant consultant and looking for a way to train freely with windows SAPGUI connected to a sandbox database.
NB: I currently have a ES Workplace where I can play, but as you know ES Workplace is browser based only (cf http://scn.sap.com/thread/1362535, that does explain there is no real solution in connecting SAPGUI with ES Workplace)
Thanks for your help
Didier,
Have you had a look at what's available in the SCN Software Downloads page ? Alternatively, select Downloads at the top of this page, then select Downloads from the menu that shows up. With a bit of navigation, you'll get the same page as the link I gave you above
There's an SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.02 SP6 64-bit Developer Edition, and an SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit Developer Edition if you don't have a 64bit windows machine.

Martin,
here is what is written on the Licence Agreement article 1. GRANT OF LICENSE.:
YOUR RIGHT TO USE THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT SHALL BE EFFECTIVE FROM THE DATE YOU FIRST INSTALL ANY PORTION OF THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT ON ANY DEVICE FOR A PERIOD OF NINETY (90) DAYS
Athough clearly said in Licence Agreement article 4. FEEDBACK, after this 90 days of (theoretical) use, what could be SAP general practice concerning right renewal ? new period of test ? or something similar ?
Thanks for your help
Didier,
I wrote up several options for getting access to systems in my blog post, Learning SAP when you don't have a SAP job already. I don't have an answer to your licensing question. Traditionally SAP has been pretty lax on enforcement of license terms against folks using systems for personal education (or even the folks who are clearly breaking the license agreements who sell access to folks who are using them for self-education)
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
--Tom
