Hi Experts,
I am a SAP techie with over 5 years of work ex in ABAP and now I wish to move into SAP HCM functional domain.
I would like to get help in how to get started and certifications that I would require to do which would help me gain the required competencies and pave way for a smooth transition.
I do understand that this is a very open ended question but your suggestions/advices regarding the product I should start with or the certification which will give me a early foot hold , will immensely help me in fine tuning and shaping my career ahead.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Zubin,
Thanks for replying to my query and providing useful links. The link
speaks of exam pattern and has mentioning of THR10 1&2,THR 12 , THR 14.
Due to my limited knowledge on this subject , I failed to understand what these legends stand for.
Additionally, the link for SAP certification
[http://www12.sap.com/asia/services/education/certification/index.epx]
throws up numerous certifications which again leaves me confused as to which certification is for HCM starters.
Any advice on this one?

Hi
THR - These are the modules that you will be studying for HCM.
(For eg. FI (Finance) module has modules like TFIN50/52... and so on)
The SAP certification finder helps you find the right certification > http://www.sap.com/services/education/certification/certificationfinder.epx
Input "Human Capital Management" and this is the right certification for you > C_THR12_64: SAP Certified Application Associate - Human Capital Management with SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4
Search this forum for more such details...
Goodluck!

Hi
A detailed explanation is given here ---
If you are keen on HCM, then there is no question about the 'product'.. Just go for the certification.
And if you need more details about the certification centers, dates, fees, etc... please refer to this page and contact the relevant Training center in your country / city.
http://www.sap.com/services/education/index.epx
Also, the market is good for people already experienced in SAP. The certification will be an added advantage for you and a good step to move towards a functional role.
Goodluck!
