SAP CERTIFIED DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL - ABAP SYSTEM INTERFACES WITH SAP

Hello Experts

I am Atush Rohan, I have done my "SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver 7.0" on 3rd April 2009.

I want to appear for "SAP Certified Development Professional - ABAP System Interfaces with SAP NetWeaver 7.0". I have about 3 and half years or experience in SAP ABAP. And I plan to give this certificate exam in the coming 6 months.

Could you please tell me how i apply for this exam, and whether SAP provides the certificate material for the exam "P_ABAP_SI_70". Waiting for a positive reply.

hi,

in order to take 2 level test you can directly use your sid .... sap has joined hands with pearson for this purpose so you have to simply register yourself on their website with you sid and can schedule your examination date...

as far as material goes you can contact the helpdesk of pearson ... as they would be right one to give out more information on this.....

Thank you so much for this information. I have been trying to get information out of SAP labs - Bnagalore for 2 weeks now and i did not receive any definite reply from them till now.

I also have one query, i am yet to receive the SAP user ID from SAP, Could you please tell me what should i do about this?

The List on pearson vue does not have a level 2 certificate. they only have Level one certificates.

hi,

actually you can find your sid on your certificate itself ... your sid will start with SXX .. ok now along with this you will receive an envelope in which there would be an letter where detalis regarding your sid and password for login access in sap market place will be stated... so you can login with that in server market place.... usually you get this along with the certificate and is being provided by the centres authority... now if you have not received it so you need to contact your centre and tell them to give it to you... if they dont barged then you can ask them for the concern guy's email .... this guy is the one who receives all the documents relating with your certificate .. now this guy is someone from sap labs banglore ... also if you have not received your id card so you can mail him or tell your centre authority in that case now usually the centre guys take the matters lightly ...

ok and as far as your certification exams goes i did search the pearson website they really dont have that professional certification for the abap guys but they do have one for functionals and some other....

ok now you need to approach yout nearest certification centre in that case and simply ask them that you need to appear for level 2 certification also you can contact the sap labs banglore in that case but i know that they are not responding .....

so in that matter you tell your centre that you need to schedule the certification they will charge you the certification amount and then will schedule the date..... yes they can do that.

First of all, thanks for the information... not i have a few more questions...

First --->

I had done my certification from Genovate, Pune. The certificate that i have received from SAP only has a certificate ID number and there was also a Invoice receipt with it. and i could not locate the SXXX id on any of those documents. I will ask the center about the SXXX user id and the ID card... Do all of the certificates come with a ID card?

Second --->

I had contacted the center for the exam (Genovate Pune), but they had asked me to contact SAP labs, so i had dropped them a mail regarding this, to which they replied by saying that "At present this certification is not available.", this is exactly the message that i have received with no information what so ever, now i am clueless what to do about it.

hi,

ok ok... sorry i didnt tell you about that .. actually your sid is nothing but the id or the no which is there on your certificate.. so you just need to put a simple S before it so it becomes ... S(and your no).. thats your sid..

now as far as your certification id goes sap has now started to give a special debit like id to the certification holder... so do check it out .... ask your centre for the id.

now the most important thing ... actually when you have received the certification you should have also received an envelope which should contain your user name.. thats nothing but your sid.. and a password for service marketplace access...

you should receive this otherwise there would be no use of the certification..... for this you need to approach your centre and demand them to give that to you.... or otherwise tell them to give the sap banglore email id or contact no who handle that thing...

its quite a strange that you have not still received your username and password....

its definite that the sap provides this thing otherwise whats the point of shelling out 3 lacs rs for the mere mediocre looking certificate... check it out!!!

hi,

see generally sap takes 45 days after passing the certification to dispatch your certification material to your respective centre... now when you will receive your certificate the no on the certificate is nothing but your sid. for this you need to prefix a S before your no like SXXX (no) .

also to remind that you have to demand for the cerificate before 3 months as sap dispose off the material after 3 months. also you will get a envelope containing your sid and password for sap marketplace access.

now for the exam i did search that and i have found that if the certification are not there in vue pearson site then you have to call you respective centre for that and tell them that i have complete my level 1 certification and want to appear for level2 cerification. they will schedule the exams and will give you the date . for this you just need to pay the certification exams fees and nothing more than that.

I am in contact with Genovate, but they say they will only receive the card and user id in october.

Also SAP replied by saying that the old certificate has been abolished now and that they will give details of the new certificate in september 2009.
