Hi everyone,
I am looking for an FI certification currently working in non-sap domain. In India there are too many restrictions to write the exam as a fresher and in monetary terms also I cannot invest more than a lakh. I heard going abroad especially countries like Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia you can write as a fresher without investing more than a lakh. Please suggest me these options are available or not??. If yes how to go ahead??. Thanks in advance...
Request clarification before answering.
That is correct - in most countries there are no prerequisities to taking a SAP certification exam.
The typical cost of an exam is about 500 USD, which is about 1/3 of a lakh, I guess. So you just need to choose a country, book a test and find a cheap airfare.
It's a good investment (if you pass 🙂
good luck!
Paul

OK.. what else do you need to know about certification? Have you looked at the SAP certification website?
In SCN, specific questions get the best answers...
Anyway, here are some useful tips for exam day:

Hi Bakker,
I went through the SAP website & wanted to undergo this certification
Only I just need to go ahead and book the seat for exam right under this link https://training.sap.com/v2/certification/c_tfin52_64-sap-certified-application-associate---financia...
Thanks...
Hi Bakker,
Actually I enquired with Dubai based education centre got the reply like this,
Dear George,
The only prerequisite for taking the certification in Dubai if you are not MENA
("Middle East and North Africa) resident or national, is that you have an already existing S-User ID. If you have one then you can directly go for the certification exam, but if you dont have one then you need to first register for an SAP course after which you can proceed with the certification.
Kind Regards,
Ivana Gerasimova
How much will be the charge for creating S-USER ID??. As I have already undergone training in an unauthorised institute and read all the materials related to exam I don't feel to undergo SAP course training again. Please guide??..
Thanks & regards,
Geo George
That's a surprise to me! In Australia (where I am) I don't remember needing a SAP id at all.
But that was a few years ago.
Perhaps try South Africa - courses and certification are supposed to be quite cheap there. They may not require a SAP id.
Keep us informed please. I'm interested to know how you go.
cheers
Paul
Hello George,
actually, the s-user is required to map it to a customer account.
At least it was so in my case.
I am an independent consultant and ordered a training.
SAP created a customer account and a s-user which was mapped to the account.
The s-user is free and belongs to SAP internal process. It should not bother you.
In the end the SAP person was right.
Look out for your exam.
Select it.
Register.
Wait for confirmation or follow further instructions from SAP.
It is quite straight forward.
Regards
D
