Hi All,
I would like to swithover my career into Sap Basis Administration. Currently working in TOP MNC as a Unix administrator (flavours, HP-UX and SUN) and having more than 5 years exp Now I decide to move into Sap, Pls AnyOne suggest me can I survive in SAP? and how long will take to learn the Sap Basic
And provide me the basic doucments for Sap basic so I can start

Jilan,
I was the administrator for a mixed linux and windows environment before I became a Basis Admin. It was a fairly easy jump since the troubleshooting skills learned as an admin helped during the install and running of a new SAP installation.
For background information, you might want to start to look through the Technical Operations Manual on the help.sap.com site available here:<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/index.htm">SAP Library - NetWeaver 2004s</a>.
Personally, I wish more standard system admins would become Basis admins because they bring some very good skills sets to the job (such as an ability to troubleshoot issues and an urge to run systems rather than memorize certification manuals).
