"Composing and automating with SAP Build the No-Code Way" unit 2 lesson 4 doesn't match trainer

Hi, I'm finding that a crucial hands-on portion of this lesson varies widely from the trainer... see screen grabs. 

The exercise concerns creating a SAP Build mobile barcode scanner that works with a REST API.   After setting up my trial BTP cockpit, I am searching and experimenting in the Build Apps editor screens to attempt to reconcile the current editor with the training guide, I have run up against a failed response in using the API and have had no luck getting past it.  Specifically, the steps for Configuring the REST API Integration from the trainer are not very relevant to the state of the current Build Apps editor. It is a roadblock to finishing the unit and learning journey.  I hope the people involved can make amends here.
