Problem installing SAP GUI 740C1

Hello SAP experts,

I have a problem when installing SAP GUI 740 C1 on Windows 8.1 (64-bit version). I have installed java runtime environment 1.8 (32-bit version), but SAP Front End Installer doesn't recognize it, and doesn't allow me to install the full version of SAP (can't install the i.s.h. med planning grid).

Hi Fredy,

Unfortunately we do not use the i.s.h.med planning grid software, so I have no personal experience with this, but I did search through the SAP support center and found the following SAP note:

2130740 - i.s.h.med Planning Grid cannot be installed with JRE8

Looks like you need to patch your SAPGUI installation server to at least 740 patch level 2 and then use the new installer package to install the software correctly.
