Hi Ravi,

I am a CPA. I want to enter into SAP field as a fresher. I took SAP-FICO training. Recruiters are telling me to add 6-7 years of false experience. I don't want to do that. Do you think I can be able to get into this field as a fresher, as a subject matter expert as I am already a CPA ???

rgds,

Nupur

Nupur,

Please continue in your CPA field.

If you want subject matter expert, it would take at least 10 years in SAP.

What would you advice for critical problems as a subject matter expert (even if you get any job in SAP?)

It would only ruin your career.

It could be difficult to get a job as a fresher, but not impossible.

Thanks for the reply Ravi.

1)What I mean by subject matter expert is strong knowledge in accounting. After doing SAP FICO I am sure about one thing that you need to have a strong  accounting background .

2)How the fresher start in this field ? Is this field  only for the experienced ?

Hi Nupur,

This is Kavita , I also live in New Jersey. For past 6 months I'm looking for a good training institute for SAP FICO  in USA. I just wanted to ask you from where did you take your training in SAP FICO? Was it good?

I'm also a CPA and want to take up this course.

Any information would be helpful!

Thanks

Hi Nupur,

please understand one thing , you have told that you are a CPA with 7 yrs. of experience,

but in sap fi-co, the business strategy is somewhat different (in terms of procedure).

So if you will take a wrong decision of fake resume, you will surely get caught.

So please don't do that, now as you have so many experience then i will sujjest you to

take coaching from outside world to learn process of fi-co in sap.

And then , try finding jobs by stating in your resume that you have sound knowledge of

working on processes in sap fi-co, by your experience i think you will get a good job after some effort.

Hi Nupur,

literally i am saying , i don't know about the hiring processes in USA ,

i have asked because i was thinking that you are from any city within India.

Ok, but as far as i know, having 7 yrs. experience , surely makes you expertise in the main area of any

business process, you may learn SAP FI, or SAP CO based on your interest and expertise. Please

work hard on it, so that you are able to justify yourself in terms of sap. Then use your existing  resume

and add SAP FI, or SAP CO, as an added advantage, and clearly mention that, now you wants  to make

your career in sap fi, or sap co module whatever be applicable, my relatives works there, and i have heard

that, w.r.t. india, its always an advantage for sap people in USA.

But you have to work hard in this, because implementing a new technology always becomes a handy in

early days, i wish you will get a good job by some added effort, and use your friend circle to enhance your

understanding in sap.

Best of Luck
