Need your help to build my career in SAP

Hi Experts,

I need your help to choose correct path for My Career In SAP.

I have 3.5 years of experience as a GIS professional. My domain is GIS application. I want to switch my career graph to SAP. I am little bit confused to go for which module of SAP. I did my B.Tech. After that I started to working as a GIS Engineer. Last year I got promoted as Team Lead.

Now I am basically doing the below mentioned tasks:

1. Team Management
2. Customer interaction
3. Solving the technical issues
4. Project strategy management

5. Giving Training

6. Resource engagement planning as per the production strategy

Overally I am mentioning here a small description of my career to get a perfect guidance to start my career in SAP. Kindly suggest me two things. 1st: SAP module & 2nd: Good training institute names.

Hi Smruti,

Unfortunately, none of your two questions can be decided by others.

You need to find the answer for your both questions.

SAP Module: You should know what is your education, what you are good at, what can excel.

If you are good at functional side, look at FICO/MM/SD/PM/PP/PS/HR type of module. Then clearly you should know where your previous experience lies and your interest in that functional module

If you are good in programming / technical - ABAP / PI / XI etc.

If you are good in networking / troubleshooting / System Administration - Basis / Portal

If you are good in database - BI/BOBJ/HANA etc.

Now, you need to evaluate yourself and decide, please do not follow others advise, but follow your heart.
