Hi Roopashree,

I do not know abt Oracle, but SAP is on of the leading company which provides Solutions for finance industry.

We have this SAP FI/CO module which deals with finance.

There are two authrised training centres in India.

1.Siemens : 080-57700001 - Banglore -Shubha Ghargi

2.Genovate : 022-24901839 - Mumbai

You can talk to these institutes and clear your doubts.

hi kushal

thanks for the reply

I have a craving to work in financial industry. But since i am a beginner it will be tough for me to be in pace with my peers as i am new to the System/domain.

So i wanted to get into the industry with SAP portal knowledge. But i was confused as to which portal is widely used in financial industry so that i can learn the same

Since i had prepared for java certification I am pretty much clear abt oops and the subject. So i chose portals...but i dont know if i have to choose oracle portals or SAp or frm Microsoft or Siebel..or PP??!!

Anyways thanks for the info ...once i get connected to SAP system i can upgrade myself by joining a training in FI/co...which wud then be easier for me...But, all this is my assumption abt future..itz just a plan to be executed!!!!!!!

Contact SAP America for training. They offer training at various <a href="http://www50.sap.com/useducation/locations/">locations</a> throughout USA.

If you want to be into hard core Finance you may want to look at the CFA(<a href="http://www.cfainstitute.org/cfaprog/index.html">Chartered Financial Analyst</a>) certification. Its well respected in the Finance industry.
