Hello guys

I'm new here and I need some help. I'm an MBA student majoring in human resources. I wonder where I can go to learn and train about SAP HCM? I live in Wisconsin, so where can I go?

Best,

Asaad

Hi Asaad,

Where are you getting your MBA? Some of the better University Alliance programs are in Wisconsin. That would be an optimal way to get more information during the course of your studies. If your university does not currently participate in the University Alliance, then you have an outstanding opportunity to get one started. What an amazing resume enhancer to have a hand in starting up an integrated SAP program at a university that doesn't already have one. (I talked about this a bit in the blog Advice for Students Interested in a Career in SAP.)

I can help point you to more resources and would be happy to help you out if you need it. I work with a few universities already on a volunteer basis and wouldn't mind helping out another.

If you want to educate yourself a bit in preparation for talking to folks in the UA program, you might get some benefit from the following blogs:

A blog series for folks trying to learn SAP when they don't have an SAP job already

Hope this helps!

Dear

check on SAP website about the certified Academies in your area.

so you can contact the Academy for Certification & training.

Raheel,

To some extent, it depends on what you mean by certified Academies. Things work differently in the US as compared to most of Asia Pacific. In India, for example, training is handled by Authorized Training Partners (aka Institutes or Academies). The easiest way to get certified is to sign up and attend an Academy series of classes (in this context Academy refers to a concentrated series of classes designed to be taken in a compressed time period) then roll right into the certification exam.

In the US, though, training is handled by SAP itself. SAP does run Academy classes, but much less frequently than the ATPs in India. Most of the training in the US is offered via the less compressed "Public" classes. SAP does offer some online Academy training, eAcademies, which can be a good option for someone in the US who wants to get trained as quickly as possible. The range of training available in the US is covered in Learning SAP when you don't have an SAP job already - Authorized Classes.

Hope this clarifies things a bit!

Best regards,
