Tony,
Absolutely Community Colleges can join. We haven't reached out to this group specifically but we do have about 4 community colleges in the USA program and there has been growing interest. It works best when community colleges integrate the SAP products/curriculum into the AA transfer pattern but as long as CCs stay away from the professional development type classes that they offer as product training they have the same privileges of membership as the 4 year schools. In fact, the schools we do have find that they can differentiate themselves from other community colleges and add value to their students. Some have partnered with 4 year schools so they can make sure the classes they offer will be accepted by the 4 year school and students who do transfer can enhance their SAP education after they leave the community college, I personally love this model and would like to see more of it because the education at the CC is more affordable and gets the student job ready all the sooner. If you have a specific school in mind, please let me know and I'll call on them.

I just became a member of the SAP communty. I have been trying to contact SAP to bring it to our College. Miami Dade College is located in Miami, FL.
An anstract from our website, www.mdc.edu
Miami Dade College is the largest and most diverse college in the nation. With eight campuses and over 170,000 students from across the world, the College offers over 300 programs of study and several degree options, including vocational, associate, and baccalaureate degrees. MDC features numerous Community Education classes, online credit classes through the Virtual College, the New World School of the Arts, The Honors College and Dual Enrollment.
Could you please help us to bring SAP to our College? Imagine the base of potential customer base for SAP.
Sincerely,
Prof. Fulton Abraham Sanchez

Hi Fulton,
Now that I have your contact information I'll contact you off line with information how to join the UA. Basically we need a curriculum plan -- something fairly straight forward outlining how SAP will be used in what classes. I have a planning guide that I can send as well that outlines the process. I'll be in touch soon.

Hi Prof. Sanchez,
I am delighted that you used this forum to reach out and express interest in bringing SAP into your university courses through University Alliances.
I like your thinking about reaching out to the SAP customer base and prospects in southern Florida and the wider geographic area as well.
We think alike. University Alliances last year announced with the Americas SAP User Group (ASUG) that member professors AND students are invited to be free members of ASUG. From their website, www.asug.com :
"Our strength is in our numbers - we represent more than 85,000 individuals who work for 1,890 member companies from 17 industries, using the SAP business suite and SAP BusinessObjects solutions. We are members with varied experience levels, from small businesses to large global organizations, and now our membership extends to all SAP users, including SAP BusinessObjects customers. Our diversity is your advantage."
ASUG is one of our highlighted UA Stakeholders at (see middle of screen) and the link there will lead you to more information as well as the process to join up. ASUG has 38 geographic chapters throughout the USA and Canada. The leadership would embrace your speaking at an upcoming Florida chapter meeting and offering your school as a chapter meeting host site, among other opportunities.
In fact, for any USA and Canadian universities out there, the offer of ASUG membership and involvement is the same. And for Australian universities, follow the above UA Stakeholders link for the same offer from the SAP Australian User Group (SAUG).
Best Wishes
Bob
