C_HANATEC_19 - SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA 2.0 SPS07

Hello ,

I've noticed today that the "C_HANATEC_19 - SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA 2.0 SPS07" certification exam is retiring soon ( 28/03/2024). Please could you explain what does this mean. Also , do we have to wait until 2025 to take the new exam that will replace that one? Is the Learning Content on the Learning Journey still updated to cover this subject ?

Please access our Get your SAP Certifications ready for tomorrow’s world page where you can find the information what is changing. 

To understand how your certification will be affected with the upcoming SAP Certification program changes and what you will need to do to stay certified please open the SAP Certification Recommendation  documentation.  
The C_HANATEC SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA 2.0 will retire on 2024-03-28* Recommendation for recertification:
C_HANATEC will be renamed to C_DBADM (no re-certification required for those already certified in C_HANATEC). Certification C_DBADM will also cover topics currently part of C_HCADM. 
Therefore, C_HCADM will be retired.

Hi Margit,

Where can we find C_HDBADM Learning Journey as I was only able to find C_DBADM, which is only 1/3 of C_HANATEC?

Example:
The following courses are prerequisites to become C_HANATEC_19 certified in the area of
SAP HANA database system administration:
● HA100 - SAP HANA 2.0 SPS07 – SAP HANA - 360° Introduction
● HA200 - SAP HANA 2.0 SPS07 – Installation and Administration
● HA201 - SAP HANA 2.0 SPS07 – High Availability and Disaster Tolerance Administration
● HA215 - SAP HANA 2.0 SPS07 – Using Monitoring and Performance Tools
● HA250 - SAP HANA 2.0 SPS07 – Database Migration using DMO

Hi Margit,

Thank you for your confirmation, but in that case, can you please point me to new certification path/learning journey where HA201,HA215 and HA250 are, as they are missing in C_DBADM (https://help.sap.com/learning-journeys/5008e8b27a261014bd56ce175a84c66b)?

Mainly the HA201,HA215 are for me important.

The SAP Certification changed from product-based to role-based in April 2024. Due to this the C_HANATEC was retired, and the new C_DBADM was created.
The C_DBADM is NOT a 1 to 1 replacement. The HA201, HA215 and HA250 are NOT part anymore of the new C_DBADM certification.

FYI: The HA201, HA215 and HA250 courses are still available, so you can still book them.
