I am studying Masters of Business in ERP System (part time) from Victoria University.
Last semester i.e. semester 1 2012, I completed unit called Business Intelligence. I really liked it and specially the content was good but I have something to discuss.
Most of the time, the content of the unit teaches you about SAP BW. We hardly had time to learn BI tools such as Crystal Reports (reporting and Analysis), Dashboards and SAP Business Objects. Luckily, there was a option to choose dashboard competition as your final BI assignment. So I took the privilege to learn Dashboard. I must say that I really enjoyed working in SAP Dashboard Designer. The VU tutorial for Dashboard was good too. I learnt many features of Dashboard Designer while completing the assignment.
We briefly used BEx after the completion of unit Tutorials. So in general it covers two BI tools and BW module which is quite good for novice like me. We definitely need more BI tools to be included in this unit.
I am learning different BI tools at my own and using one of them at work (Crystal Reports) but I also want to learn and acquire skills in SAP BW. After several emails and requests I am still unable to get extended access (after the semester finished) to Uni BW system. I would love to have similar access if anyone can provide me.
