Hello, I am .Net developer with 13 years experience but I wish to become more specialized and am looking into breaking into the SAP development world. Is there a recommended training course for newbies? I would love to hear your recommendations on how best to enter into the industry and any advice you've gained throughout the years. Thanks!

Jaha,
Thanks for the post. Professors participating in UAC may have great feedback - and I look forward their suggestions for you. I will start things off with a couple of comments and suggestions.
In terms of training courses - please keep in mind that University Alliances member schools do not provide training. Members use SAP software as a teaching tool in the classroom. You would not come to UA to learn to be a developer specifically - instead, you would come to a member school if you decided you were ready for a masters degree - and wanted to have SAP content included with that degree.
If you are looking for traditional training, you have a few options. First, SAP Ed Services. There are many customer and partner training courses that will give the kind of training you need to make the jump into the SAP ecosystem. Explore the certification opportunity. Some classes are face to face; others are elearning. Also check out the Events and eLearning tab at the top of the page. The greater SCN community has a lot of educational and knowledge transfer opportunities via webinar and podcast.
Lastly, I would also encourage you to post your question in other technical discussion threads within SDN. People who already work in the field will be able to give you some great suggestions in terms of what worked for them to get their foot in the door.
Good Luck!
Heather
