Access to Portals Development sandbox

Hi,

Are there any companies that provide access to portals development environment for practicing examples?

I prefer to have administrative privileges and also the ability to develop web dynpro for Java applications.

you should be able to install on your own and there is no license cost if the system is sandbox. Basic hardware requirement is sufficient as mentioned in the installation guide.

I only have a laptop and I do not have access to any servers.

I want to learn portals development by actually practicing the examples.

What options do I have to get access to the portals environment? Can I still install on my own?
