Hi Experts,
My self Kumar and presently working as PDM Engineer (SAP End user). My role basically includes the BOM management, MM management & ECO management for a manufacturing plant and have total exp is 2 years in the same.
I had completed my graduation in 2008 (BE in E&CE) and have beginner knowledge in C, C++
Now, i want enhance my career in SAP. I am very much interested technical module side rather than functional module. But, i am in very confusion state which module to choose ABAP or BASIS.
Can you advice which module is suitable for me?
and my present experience in SAP will help?

Request clarification before answering.
If you like installing things and want to learn a bit about databases -> go for BASIS
If you like to create applications and to write code -> go for ABAP
Both can be challenging and interesting and both are very wide areas. It certainly depends on available job offers as well. In the long shot you might get more money as APAB programmer.

Considering your current experience functional module will be more suitable for you.
But as you mentioned, you are technically inclined, ABAP will be a better choice as compared to BASIS, since
you know programming. Apart from that techno-functional consultants are typically ABAP and functional as ABAP and corresponding functional knowledge is complimentary for both.
But in the end, it all depends on, what you are passionate about ..just go for it.
