It was our pleasure to host the18 MBA students and Prof Lakra from Xavier's Institute of Social Service, Ranchi who had come all the way to visit us on 16 October 2014. We thank Prof Lakra who made this visit possible.

Xavier Institute of Social Service was established in 1955 at St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi. From a humble beginning made with the objective of training young men & women in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, Rural Development & Social Welfare; over the last 50 years XISS has trodden a long path of glory and success. In 1973, the Institute was registered as a separate educational society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. From that point in history it has been recognized as one of the most outstanding management schools in India.
We talked to the students about SAP corporate story and how we have lead the world of business solutions and simplification for the past 40 years; how we have taken leadership stances in areas like Cloud Computing, Mobility, Analytics, Database and Application. We feel it is important for students to understand how we have impacted the global economy over the years by helping our 2,50,000+ customers run better and simpler there by helping the world run better. By 2030, 75% of the global workforce will comprise of Millenials and all companies need to understand the unique working style of this wave of their workforce. We are doing our bit to educate students across the globe to understand technology much better.

We invited Dinu Nanjappa ho heads the Early Talent team in SAP Labs Inda, to talk about SAP's Early Talent, giving the students a 360 degree view of SAP's focus on the millenials by highlighting the various initiatives in place to engage with fresh hires right from them time they are offered a job to the time they join SAP and further. He talked about the various ways to get into the SAP ecosystem such as SAP University Alliances, SAP Education, Scholars@SAP, Early Talent just to name a few.
Next, the team of experts from the SAP Lumira team took over to give the students a demo of the software highlighting its capabilities. They have also invited the students to take part the SAP Lumira University Challenge and win the fabulous prizes. We hope that the students of XISS will come up with some prize winning submissions!
