SAP University Alliances had once again had the pleasure of hosting 17 students of Xavier Institute of Social Science, Ranchi. These students covered some 1500 km to visit Bangalore and took the opportunity to enhance their learning by visiting prominent organizations in the city. The college has a long history dating back to 1955 when it was established as an extension department of St. Xavier's College, Ranchi.

We took the opportunity to talk to the students about the various areas that SAP focuses on such as Applications, Analytics, Cloud, Mobility and Databases. We informed the students how SAP is helping its customers run simpler and transform their business to become Digital Enterprises by leveraging S4HANA and IoT based solutions.
The students were from Finance and Marketing background. A lot of the discussion was around how marketing efforts in IT differs from those in other sectors such as FMCG, Oil and gas, Banking etc. We talked about how 74% of financial transactions around the globe passes through an SAP system.
Our colleague Anitha joined us to tell the students how SAP Labs deals with knowledge transfer and management to it huge number of employees. How new joinees are trained and engaged using the latest training methods and tools. Sai Prakash from SAP Lumira team then joined us to cover the vast topic of Business Intelligence/ Analytics showcasing our software SAP Lumira. These sessions were highly interactive and energetic!
We thank the students to have come so far to interact with us and we look forward to more such interactions.
