It’s no news that businesses are changing faster than ever before. With organizations becoming intelligent and future-proof, and the move to the cloud in full swing, we are seeing more and more job roles being transformed as well. The World Economic Forum predicts that more than 40% of skills and 1 billion jobs will change based on the introduction of new technologies by the end of the decade.
Now more than ever, it’s crucial that upskilling and reskilling opportunities are readily available to help people and organizations continue to innovate and grow.
For this reason, SAP is refocusing its certification portfolio on the jobs that we believe are most critical to enable successful Cloud adoption and S/4HANA Cloud transformation. We’re doing this in two ways.
First, last year we introduced a role-based certification model that focuses on the full skill set required to perform a job instead of product functions.
Second, this year we are introducing the “get and stay certified” model to better react to fast emerging and changing technologies and make upskilling easier for you. With this new approach, you will have access to all relevant updates for your role on products, skills, and new technologies with tailored, skill-based delta content. And you will be able to verify and keep your skills sharp with assessments attached to your SAP certification. We have also updated the validity period for certifications. Once you pass an assessment, your certification validity will be extended by 12 months from the assessment completion date.
Our target is to empower our ecosystem to become – and remain – certified SAP experts, build a stronger workforce that can successfully and reliably deliver the critical projects our customers need. Our role-based certifications are designed to support you in identifying your next career step, choose your next learning goal or certification opportunity.
