Students of the University of Bamberg presenting their term papers about their solutions for Big Data in business processes in the field of Business Informatics on Friday, January 31st.
The student-team consisted of 32 students and their professor in Information Systems, Sven Overhage.
The Bachelor- and Master-students introduced their topics in groups of 3-5 people and got feedback and suggestions from their professor Sven Overhage, who teaches Information Systems at the University of Bamberg, as well as from SAP employees. The topics “Performance Marketing / Media Spend Optimization”, “Lead Scoring”, “Dynamic Pricing for Event Business”, “Intelligent agent for eCommerce shops” and “Customer Loyalty” brought capturing, concentrating and interpreting Big Data in certain business processes into focus.
Next to other SAP employees, Wolfgang Faisst, Head of Suite on HANA Product Management, who sponsored this event, was one major reviewer of the group’s presentations. Special guests were Kai Hucker, holding a speech about SAP as an “Employer of Choice”, and Carsten Hahn talking about the department “Research & Innovation”, containing new IT innovations on Big Data in Marketing and Lead Using.
