Last Friday 30 Indian students and two professors from Sharda University gained an insight into SAP UA program and SAP HANA in Walldorf.
At first Niraj Singh (Director UA DACH) gave an introduction about SAP in general, with focus on the game changers of the Business (SAP HANA, Cloud and Mobility). He also talked about how SAP is emphasizing it's reach toward Universities all over the world through its University Alliances program. The Indian students showed particular interest in SAP's innovative technologies and raised questions regarding SAP HANA and the cloud based approach.
Afterwards Nithin S. Jagadish (Program Director) explained the relevance of SAP HANA and the breakthrough that it offers. 2 students from Nithin’s team (Micheal Dell and Micheal Mueller) showcased a demo about SAP HANA. From that, the students demonstrated an Enterprise Gamification Scenario and trainings games, where SAP HANA data helped to quickly identify in real time online players.
In the end Uwe Kylau (Developer Advocate, TIP Developer Experience) showed how an external person can get information about SAP HANA. In addition he presented the Design Thinking approach and the InnoJam events offered by UA all over the world.
After the presentations the one-day visitors had a guided tour through SAP's history and the program closed with a joined meal in the company canteen.
