On 26 November 2015 we visited the MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology with 2 objectives. First was to ensure that the students were part of the ongoing social media contest and feedback sharing on the latest cloud offering called SAP Digital for Customer Engagement which is a new addition to our CRM portfolio.

Manish Godara from the team shared the format of the contest. The students need to go to the SAP Store and register for the trial environment of D4C. From there are on they can take part in two kinds of contests

1. Share great feedback on the new system

2. Get involved in the social media conversations via Twitter!

We hope for a lot of participation from the students from MSRIT, Bangalore.

The 2nd half of the day was on analytics for the students using SAP Lumira which is a fantastic tool for students to use and understand how they can play around with massive amounts of data. There are so many visualizations possible that it is simply amazing. Not only the sheer amount of visualizations but the ease with which one can prepare and present the data via the various options in this feature rich tool. The students were first given a primer on database, analytics, business intelligence and then a dataset was thrown to the students with challenge questions to work on. We hope that the session was valuable to the students and would like to thanks our colleagues Amit Kumar Singh and Sai Prakash for taking the time out for this session.
