Generation lll of SAP Live Access

The SAP Live Access environment has added a number of exciting new features available exclusively to subscribers of SAP Learning Hub. The new features enable subscribers to adopt and develop required skills faster while on the go. A new portal is the central point for accessing the training systems. It places subscribers in the control cockpit of their training, enabling them to start, stop, pause, resume, or delete and swap training systems within the same contingent with full visibility and consumption time. The portfolio has been enriched by integrating learning title versioning, which enables subscribers to choose the software version of the training system that matches the learning title of interest. For example, subscribers can decide to practice a finance learning title in a training system of SAP ERP 6.0 with SAP enhancement package 5 or 6. These new features have been made available in SAP Live Access from the end of March 2015.

SAP Live Access for cloud solutions is underway as well, with the first solutions being available early in Q2, creating a foundation for evaluating further options for solutions such as the SAP Cloud for Customer solutions as well as solutions from Ariba, an SAP company.

NEW Learning Rooms:

SAP User Experience

With the growing popularity of learning rooms, we have added a new SAP User Experience (UX) Learning Room to SAP Learning Hub.

The UX learning room provides subscribers with a collaborative environment in which to learn all there is to know from experts and fellow learners about SAP's approach to UX and its portfolio of UX products as well as design thinking, frameworks, and methodologies. This learning room accompanies learning titles related to SAP Screen Personas software, HTML5 (SAPUI5), SAP Gateway technology, SAP Fiori UX, and design thinking.

SAP S/4HANA Overview

We have also added an overview learning room that introduces SAP S/4HANA, the next-generation business suite that was designed to help enterprises run simpler in a digital and networked economy. The learning room provides an overview of the different SAP S/4HANA solutions and explores the SAP Fiori user experience and apps. This learning room is also available to subscribers of SAP Learning Hub, discovery edition.  This edition is free for anyone, simply register here and search for SAP S/4HANA once you are registered.

More Than 500 E-Books Added to SAP Learning Hub by Integration with bookboon.com

The one-year pilot with bookboon.com has been officially and successfully integrated with SAP Learning Hub. With this step, these additional e-books will be accessible for free with beta functionality within the home space of SAP Learning Hub, providing seamless access to over 500 e-books on bookboon.com.

bookboon.com is the world’s largest e-book publisher with a focus on educational materials for students and business professionals alike. The 500+ e-books cover topics such as project management, time management, leadership, and many more. Subscribers will be able to access these e-books from a designated tile in SAP Learning Hub.

Durations Added to Learning Titles

With durations being added to learning titles, subscribers will now be able to see the amount of time required to complete a learning title, enabling them to allocate and monitor the time they need to complete a course. To view the duration of a specific learning title, subscribers click the title in the learning content space of the hub. Durations do not apply to learning programs in SAP Learning Hub, as a learning program is a collection of various content.

Learning Title Updates

We are continuously adding and updating learning titles for an improved learning experience. During March, more than 100 learning titles have been added or updated. To view an extract of the new and updated learning titles, you can access the full portfolio of courses by clicking here and filtering to March 2015.

SAP Learning Hub Takes Certification into the Cloud

An article published in the SAPinsider magazine highlights learning rooms as an enablement tool for taking certification into the cloud. The new approach will be used in certification programs for cloud solutions from hybris and Ariba, both of which are SAP companies, demonstrating how certification is being reinvented by and for the cloud. The article mentions a number of key components that will give rise to a new framework for cloud solution certification. For example, linking system provisioning to certification through learning rooms was put in the spotlight. In a nutshell, learning rooms in SAP Learning Hub will enable system provisioning to be linked to certification by giving subscribers fast access to enablement tools for learning titles. In addition, exams will be conducted by using remote proctoring so that participants to do not have to spend time in a training or testing room.

If you are a current subscriber, we encourage you to take advantage of these new features today.
