To bring all learning into one place and make it easy for you to find what you need, openSAP has been integrated into the SAP Learning site. Over 100 former openSAP courses are now available there for you to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and learn in our own time.

The openSAP platform will be discontinued at the end of July 2024. If you learned with openSAP before, please don’t forget to download and save your documents (records of achievement, confirmations of participation, and digital badges), as they will no longer be accessible once the platform is discontinued.

Moving forward, the SAP Learning site will be the single destination for all your learning needs. You’ll find free, self-paced learning journeys and courses that enable you to quickly upskill in key cloud and technology solution areas and prepare for certification exams. For a deeper upskilling, the site also offers you guided premium learning resources like live sessions, practice systems, and certification attempts that you can access with an SAP Learning Hub subscription.

The podcast platform and the Microlearning offerings will remain available in their current form.

A big thanks to everyone for learning with openSAP over the years, for the great feedback you constantly shared with us, and of course for your dedication and interest in our courses.

See you on the SAP Learning site!

Hi, thanks for this article! What is the difference between learning.sap.com and learninghub.sap.com? Some topics are available on both sides and it's a bit confusing on which one to follow for which topics. Appreciate your comments on this.

@rajashekar_chandrashekar Thanks for your questions. All migrated openSAP courses are offered unchanged and in self-paced mode on the SAP Learning site. You can start learning immediately. No notifications are required and there is no change regarding the system access.

New courses will be announced soon, so stay tuned. The first new course will be announced via the SAP Learning Hub newsletter. You can subscribe for the newsletter for free to not miss the course announcement. You can also join the SAP Learning group here in the SAP Community to stay up-to-date with the latest learning opportunities.

@AnnikaLink I don't see Record of Achievement nor Confirmation of Participation provided for openSAP Courses anymore in these migrated courses.

From Learning point of view , it's fantastic but Young Modern Learners look for motivational element too - so providing a Digital Badge/ Record of of Achievement /Confirmation of Participation will definitely increase usage of these content.

@Niladri_B_Nayak Thanks for your input. Courses on the SAP Learning site are currently not ending with a record of achievement or badge. The badge framework is currently reviewed. With new courses being added to the SAP Learning site this can change in the future.

Please note: All migrated openSAP courses include quizzes. If these are successfully completed, the course will be marked as completed in the user profile on the SAP Learning site.

Hi AnnikaLink

Just to confirm, the former openSAP Course Reactivation option is not longer available, even with a LearningHub subscription, right?

@Simon-Dismore

Yes, this is correct. The former openSAP Course Reactivation option is no longer available, even with a LearningHub subscription.

@WingedHorse If a former openSAP course had PDF files available for download on the openSAP platform, then those materials will also be available on the SAP Learning site. There is a download page for this at the end of a week.

You'll find an example here https://learning.sap.com/courses/sap-business-bydesign-supply-chain-management/downloads_LE_c2cde382...

@murugeshk The course Python for Beginners was not migrated to the SAP Learning site. However, the course intstructor saved the learning material and it is now available here.

What happened to the Record of Completion/Achievement?   I don't see any history on Activity or  My Learning or My Progress.

@wilbertsison With the sunset of the openSAP platform, your openSAP profile and progress are no longer available. All personal data has been deleted in a GDPR-compliant manner. Progress and course completion documents have not been migrated to the SAP Learning site.

We asked all learners to save their openSAP course completion documents (records of achievement, confirmations of participation, digital badges) in time. If you have not saved your documents, please note that no copies are available.

Will the old contents of Open SAP be ported to the SAP Learning Hub?  If so, how do we search for them?

@bgergesaccenture A selection of more than 100 openSAP courses has been migrated and is still available to learners. These migrated courses have been integrated in the SAP Learning site. You’ll find them via search on the SAP Learning site, or (among other courses) in the course listing page, or you can start browsing here on the dedicated New home for openSAP courses page

I just found out about the Open SAP coming to an end as of July 30, 2024, and all certifications are no longer available.  I took the Generative AI course, with the certification issued in December 2023.  I downloaded my Generative AI certification right after this date, and put it on my LinkedIn page.  However, my LinkedIn page does not now show this credential, and only shows the "Show credential" link, which when clicked, only goes to a series of splash pages about Learning.sap.com.  The link to my credential is broken.  This is not right at all, as my certification was earned and posted on my LinkedIn page way before July 30, 2024.   Is this going to be fixed?

@reblev Thanks for your question.

Before the sunset of the platform, we announced the following: Once the platform is discontinued, verification links in records of achievements and digital badges will no longer work. The same applies to any social shares (for example references to openSAP in your LinkedIn profile).

Therefore all learners were asked to download and save their documents (records of achievement, confirmations of participation, and digital badges), as they will no longer be accessible once the platform is discontinued. These documents are PDF files (for records of achievement, confirmations of participation) or gif files (for digital badges).

Looking at your note, you are referring to a verification link. As explained, these links are not working any longer and can also not be restored. All openSAP profiles, included course completion data have been deleted. I am sorry to hear that you missed the information.

I get that OpenSAP no longer works, but for those of us that did miss the email (easy to do for busy IT people), there should be a way to access the badge earned as recently as 2023.  I keep seeing references to Credly as a possibility to retrieve an OpenSAP badge.  Would this work?

@reblevUnfortunately, Credly is not an alternative to the former openSAP badges. As communicated several times between November 2023 and July 2024, learners had to download and save the course completion documents (record of achievements, confirmation of participation, digital badge) before the sunset of openSAP. After the sunset, the data has been deleted and is no longer available.
