SAP TechEd Bangalore has just concluded and Ankit and Elena from the openSAP team joined colleagues and SAP friends at the event for an enjoyable week! openSAP was located at the “Learn Simple” pod at the InfoZone throughout the week where attendees came along to share their experiences on openSAP, provide feedback, and for new learners, finding out how they can learn more about SAP for free with openSAP’s offerings.
On the first day, over 150 attendees visited the pod. Some had taken part in courses and were happy with the quality of the content and the format of learning. Everyone was excited to see that openSAP is completely free of charge with university students expressing their interest in SAP HANA Cloud Platform, SAP Fiori, and ABAP based courses.
openSAP provides a series of courses which allows developers to learn about app development on SAP HANA Cloud Platform, along with extending SAP products to the cloud platform including SuccessFactors. Build Your Own SAP Fiori App in the Cloud begins March 25, allowing learners to access a cloud system to build their SAP Fiori Apps and submit them in a design and build challenge. The top 3 submissions will receive a MacBook Air for their efforts! There’s also a self-paced course for those interested in learning about ABAP Development on SAP HANA.
On the second day, openSAP joined the SAP University Alliances team at Techniversity where approximately 1,000 students joined to hear about opportunities from SAP including openSAP and SAP Learning Hub.
Back at the pod, visitors continued to come along to hear about openSAP’s offerings. Many participants use openSAP courses to improve their skills and improve their careers.
Over three days at SAP TechEd Bangalore, there were 10,000 new enrollments in openSAP courses, new friendships formed, and lots of fun experienced! If you were at SAP TechEd Bangalore, we hope you had a great time and had a chance to meet our team.
