She reviewed why OpenSAP was founded and how you can participate.

As Figure 1 shows, OpenSAP is open, available to anyone worldwide
It is a MOOC or massive online course; SAP wants to reach a massive audience
It is a channel to promote products and also promote knowledge.
Name is open as it is free of charge
Platform is open.sap.com
SAP is one of the first do this in an enterprise format as it provides a classroom-like format.
People can interact with others and SAP in the online discussion forum.
It is mobile-ready – it can be used with tablets, smart phones.
It is unrestricted, open to anyone, no limit on participants
Platform performance is good
Motivational format is there as deadlines need to be met on a weekly basis with assignments
At the end of each course there is a record of achievement earned through the weekly assignment and the final assessment. This is graded.

Focus is on key business innovations
They offer 20 courses per year

They have delivered 18 courses and two courses are currently running
The pipeline is full for next year
They are approaching a half million enrollments, 165K unique learners which mean learners come back
Reach out to mass people external facing
Completion rate means they received the record of achievement.
They are open to feedback for improvement.
The team has won 2 awards as shown in Figure 3.

Courses are now going into a curriculum, such as Fiori
Planned is a course for SAP Screen Personas and how to build a Fiori app
BI4 platform innovation is followed by BI Clients & apps on HANA
There is still time to register for BW on HANA course

All courses which are not running are still available for self-paced learning
Statistics:
Learners are from more than 175 countries in the world

On the percentage level, many are joining from India, US, and Germany

Figure 6 shows the age and gender information
Most learners are in their 20’s and 30’s
Mostly male people are learners but the female part are increasing; by nature due to technical topics

Most students are professionals to “upskill” or go into another job
