On February 16th, UA country managers Silvia Rathgeb (Austria) and Ádám Dudits (CEE, Baltics & Nordics) met Jan Ruzarovsky (Head of SME R&D Slovakia) and Juraj Laifr (Education and Knowledge Services) from SAP Slovakia to exchange ideas and best practices regarding cooperation models between universities/ educational institutions and the government.

In the SAP local office Vienna, they compared the difficult financial situation of educational institutions in East European countries against the best practice approach in Austria. This approach could most probably be an opportunity, which would not only enable evangelism of SAP skills via the UA program, but help to build the future workforce on the market: many customers are building plants and factories in Slovakia, there will be an even larger increase in demand for early talents.

Since SAP Slovakia is currently building an SAP Lab, and Next-Gen talents are sought for, Jan and Juraj are looking for options to receive support by establishing UA memberships among universities with help of governmental relations to the ministry of education to finance early talents’ education.

Hopefully, this path will lead us further on our mission to build up the future workforce that our customers need!
