As organizations continue to shift more of their workload to the cloud, the role of the enterprise architect is becoming increasingly vital. Bridging the gap between business and technology, enterprise architects ensure companies can reach their desired business outcomes through the effective use of technology. Recent numbers prove the demand for this role: It was ranked as the number one best career on Glassdoor recently – highlighting high job satisfaction and a competitive salary.

Recognizing the advantages that this role can offer both individuals and organizations, SAP has a long tradition of delivering best-in-class enterprise architecture training. However, many of you asked for a more flexible format to learn these skills – and we’re happy to share that a new offering is now available for enterprise architects:

Introducing a new cohort-based, blended training

Get ready to level up your game with our new cohort-based blended enterprise architect learning! Combining the flexibility of self-paced learning on the SAP Learning site with interactive and fun case study training in a series of live sessions, you can now get the best of both worlds to prepare for your SAP Enterprise Architect Certification.

Sounds good? Here’s what you need to know:

To get started, head over to the SAP Learning site and register for one series of live sessions. Each series consists of six individual sessions that take about 2,5 hours each. The first cohorts will start on September 16 with two time slots available to serve your personal time zone. You don’t have time in September? Don’t worry – further cohorts will start in early November and registration is already open.

First cohort starts in September

Once you’re registered, all you need to do is wait for your kick-off event. The weekly sessions will be moderated and guided by an experienced speaker and delivered via Zoom. The series of live sessions will be based on a case study and built on each other – so make sure you don’t miss a session!

Working through the units within the learning journey is essential as preparation for the sessions with the speaker. In the sessions with the trainer, the participants work on practical examples in a case study. The speaker does not teach any theory; this is taught in the learning journey “Exploring the SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework Foundation”.

On the days where no live session takes place, you can deepen your knowledge with the new learning journey “Exploring the SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework Foundation”. Available mid-September, the course will teach you how the SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework is structured and how you can tailor it to your needs. After finishing the five units, you’ll be able to create an architecture vision of capabilities and business values, define a target business architecture to achieve business goals, and more. In just under 16 hours, this course will deepen your good understanding of business strategy, organization, and process concepts.

Schedule your certification exam individually

Your SAP Certification exam can then be scheduled individually after the last live session has taken place and your learning journey has been completed – so only five weeks after you started training! And of course, sharing your new badge as SAP Certified Professional - SAP Enterprise Architect is highly recommended to demonstrate your latest and comprehensive understanding of SAP solutions to help businesses use technology to meet their visions.

Let’s talk about prerequisites

To make sure you can make the most out of this cohort-based, blended training, the learning journey and live sessions are designed for architects with an intermediate proficiency level who possess TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) foundation knowledge, are TOGAF-certified and have a good understanding of IT strategy, applications, data, and technology concepts. Please note that this offering is included in a subscription to the enhanced SAP Learning Hub only.

Sign up for the series of live sessions today and get ready to bring out your best with a new, flexible enterprise architecture training!
