SAP is the first international partner to collaborate with the Malaysian Government to upskill 12,000 tertiary students by 2015. Launched on 11 Oct 2011, the MyUniAlliance program is part of the Economic Transformation to transform Malaysia into a knowledge driven, high value economy.
Managed by Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), this program will provide financial grant to Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) to defray the hosting fee for an SAP training system for the first year. SAP, on the other hand, provides the right to use the software license for free. It also provides a wide range of teaching curricula and train-the-trainer faculty workshops at no charge to member schools.
As a start, 6 Malaysian universities will offer the UA program and they are INTI International University (INTI), Asia Pacific University College of Technology & Innovation (UCTI), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Multimedia University (MMU), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and Open University Malaysia (OUM).
