KIIT (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology) University has become the first university of the country to begin implementing SAP using Big Bang approach. SAP (I) is facilitating implementation work in all schools of the University in four areas - Financial Accounting, Materials Management, Human Capital Management and Students Life Cycle Management.

The kick-off programme for SAP implementation at KIIT University, named 'Eklabaya', was held on 8th May 2013, which was graced by many eminent personalities including Dr. A. Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS and the Vice President (Services) of SAP India.

The Enterprise Applications Management (EAM) Division, KIIT Head and the Programme Manager, Prof. Nihar R. Beura stressed that the implementation will help in integration of all the business processes across the schools and ensure transparency by providing the right information to the students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders. The Vice President from SAP (I) went on to say that, the relationship with KIIT will go a long way. Not only the applications would add immense value to KIIT operations, but would prove to be instrumental in reinforcing the leadership role of KIIT in the education sector, he added.
