Hi

Hoping someone may be able to offer me some advice/ guidance on the following please.

I have recently signed up to the sap learning hub Discovery edition and having taken the time to review the courses available , I have decided to undertake the foundation course in ABAP development as I am most keen to progress towards an ABAP/software development role within SAP and in order to help reach my ultimate goal, I would firstly like to work towards a full Associate certification in ABAP development,

Bit of background info regarding my existing skill sets and experience with SAP so far, I have almost 3 years experience working within the SAP CRM and Isu as a Subject matter expert (sme) for RWE Npower ... my specific areas of expertise include both the billing and device management aspects of ISU , I've helped train and support new and existing members of staff within SAP CRM and ISU , as well as help design, test and produce standard operating practices relating to the specific processes involved in the areas of billing  , device management and FICA processes.

For myself therefore the next logical step in my career is to go down either the consultancy or software development role and I do feel that working towards and eventually achieving a full certification in ABAP development will help me achieve that.

At this point I have completed the first 2 modules of the foundation course available on the discovery edition and I am ready to sit the first online assessment, I note however that the course in question is essentially a condensed version of the full course and a further fee would be required should I wish to undertake the full course.

I would like therefore to query, if there is any kind of support/concessions SAP would be able to provide, given I am an experienced employee within a business that is a Customer of SAP in order to aid with my development.

Any hints/tips would be greatly appreciated

Kind regards

Phil
