27/11/2015: Ms. Melissa Kammerer from the International Office at University of Mannheim and 27 international full-time master students visited SAP Headquarters in Walldorf, Germany.
First program point was the SAP Inspiration Pavilion, where the students learned more about the history of SAP and experienced firsthand the manifold faces of Big Data. The visitors got to know how data is affecting our lives today and its enormous potential for the future.
Then, Sophie Vogt-Hohenlinde from SAP education department informed the students about possibilities to work as a student at SAP. She also gave her advice about how a good application should look like.
Finally, in the end of the visit Ms. Kammerer and the students went to the SAP d-shop (‘The Developer`s Workshop), where they got an insight into Internet of things technologies. Technologies included electronic platforms for building connected devices such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and BeagleBone, as well as 3D printers, wearable devices, augmented reality and virtual reality devices, robotics, and sensor networks.
For SAP University Alliances it is always a pleasure to welcome students from all over the world at our Headquarters. Thank you Ms. Kammerer and your students for your visit and your interest in our company!
