The words you use throughout your app or site are just as important as the interaction and visual design. But the words – or
copy – are often an afterthought. All too frequently we use words like “Submit” and “Cancel” on our UIs as if we’re talking to a computer and not a human. We need to bring a personal touch to the words on the screen.
The openSAP course
Copywriting: Improve User Experience One Word at a Time explains why it’s vital to think about words as part of your design. You’ll get practical advice on how to write effective and compelling copy that will delight your users, with examples brought to you by
Bill Beard, branding consultant and copywriter, and the SAP User Assistance (UA) and UX design teams.
Copywriting: Improve User Experience One Word at a Time is a three-week course aimed at
UX designers, software and UA developers, product managers, and everyone involved in the development process. The course includes a peer assessment that allows you to practice your copywriting skills and evaluate the skills of others. And since it was run last year, this course has won two STC awards. The course starts October 29 and enrollment is now open!
