Market researcher Trendence, a firm specializing in employer branding and recruiting, has found in a survey among 530,000 pupils and university students reading IT subjecs that Google, SAP and Microsoft are their preferred future employers. Google retained the top spot, while SAP took over the distant second from Microsoft. However, considering Google’s brand recognition, SAP’s achievement should be much lauded. In contrast Apple dropped to fifth after finishing at SAP’s level in 2012. Overall this seems to be a trend as all traditional IT firms lost a bit of their desirability while other types of company such as BMW or Mercedes-Benz gained popularity among IT prospects.
