The ESEFA Project (formerly known as DEG) conducted its first Train-the-Trainer workshop in Cape Town, South Africa during the period 13 to 17 January 2014.

The subject matter was "Introduction to SAP ERP Using Global Bike Inc. 2.20" and the course was facilitated by Stefan Weidner from UCC Magdeburg. 14 Professors and lecturers from the University of Cape Town and the University of Pretoria attended the course.

The so-called ESEFA (Enterprise Systems Education for Africa) project aims to develop curricula and establish an African university community to deliver enterprise systems (ES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) education courses that are accessible both on and offline to African students interested in broadening their ICT skillsets.

The project is co-financed by DEG (Deutsche Investitions-und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH) with public funds from the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, together with SAP (AG).
