An SAP University Alliances (SAP UA) management delegation, led by Global Head Ann Rosenberg, visited South-Africa from 7 to 11 February 2013.
This multi-purpose visit covered a number of topics and events in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town. Discussions with Executives and various units from SAP South Africa and the SAP Africa Market Unite led to the formulation of a SAP UA Africa plan to align with and support the strategies of SAP in Sub-Saharan Africa.
In Cape town, Ann was the guest speaker at the 2nd International Business Breakfast hosted by the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) after which a erp4school project collaboration work session took place, followed by a kick-off workshop of the On-demand ERP Teaching and Learning Platform for Sub-Saharan Africa project. The local offices of two of SAP’s trusted and long-standing funding partners, DEG and GIZ were also visited and current joint projects were discussed. During all of these events and meetings, the revised strategy, direction and approach of SAP UA was presented and met with considerable enthusiasm.
