How to make a Lab “greener”?
During the whole afternoon, accompanied by SAP senior coaches, it has been offered to make SAP children from 8 to 12 aware of the Design-Thinking methodology, thanks to a topic SAP has in mind every day : how to make a Lab “greener”?
These sessions was opened to all the children of SAP employees in France in a limit of 15 seats available for each site, Paris, Caen and Mougins.
SAP UA France, Alexandra Darras, has supported the Design Thinking animation and coaching of teams in Paris.
12 kids split in 2 teams have worked during 4 hours about SAP Labs Paris and how to make it greener...
After a fun warm-up session, they have started to list the different stakeholders involved in order to create their persona and a maximum of pollution sources.
After a well deserved breakout, the 2 teams have started to work on solutions.
It was very impressive to discover how there are aware about ecology and new green technologies.
And the Design Thinking session result is...
2 teams have agreed about to exploit the SAP Tower roof top to install wind turbine, solar panels and water recovery. It was a very raining day.
Their more innovative proposition were to use the intelligent furniture to switch off automatically lights and materials/devises after a while. The save mode is not a green mode.
Not only, there are 3 babyfoots very often used at the 14th floor, they have advised to equip the handles' babyfoot with dynamo to charge devise batteries.
The same dynamo system could be implemented in a fitness room material at the 2nd floor and under the floor of building corridor.
As always it was very exciting to work with children. They dare and they bring us a lot !
