Around 50 students from KJ Somaiya college in Mumbai attended a Design Thinking session at their campus on 26th August 2016. The University has been a SAP University Alliances member school since 2014. Rahul Sachdev, Head of SAP University Alliances India subcontinent, introduced students to Design thinking concept which is a new way of solving business and technology problems. It is more creative and user-centric approach to problem solving than the traditional design methods. Experts point out that this out-of-the-box thinking defies the obvious and embraces a more experiential approach. It is particularly useful for addressing the so-called ill-defined problems where both the problem and solution are unknown at the onset of the problem-solving process. The students then participated in the Marshmallow Challenge with the team making the tallest standing tower win some cool SAP goodies. All in all it was a great afternoon with fun and learning
