We were thrilled to welcome the students of Sri Sathya Sai University (Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning) who were in campus on 16 April 2014 to augment their learning. Later in the day there was CodeJam on HANA.
After a great overview of SAP Corporate Profile by Archit Kalkunte, Sunder Madakshira, VP of MarCom, SAP Labs Bangalore, talked to the student on Business Ethics and Value Systems, drawing from his own personal experiences. Both these sessions were deeply admired by the students.
Thomas B Kuruvilla, Product Manager, SAP Analytics, delivered an amazing session on Big Data Analytics and left the student wanting for more! Later in the day Thomas also help Prof Chandrashekhara from the university to understand the technology landscape that would be required for the research projects on topics such as using Big Data for Health informatics, High Performance Computing, using Microsoft Kinectic to help austistic children.
Pavankumar PVN – SAP Mascot – took the students and professors through a great tour of the campus covering culture, people, eco-friendly campus and initiatives.
Padmashree B and Vaibhav Kumar (Experience ABAP for HANA Team, Bangalore) – the CodeJam wouldn’t not have been possible without their great effort. They kept the participants engaged and energized throughout the day and made sure these participants were able to complete the last puzzle thrown to them at the end of the day!
Topics that were touched upon under the UA were SAP Student Entrepreneurship program and how we can support their entrepreneurship centers. The SAP University Alliances Innovation Labs was also demonstrated to the students along with interesting topics such as the “The Human Face of Big Data”.
