Université Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD), also known as the University of Dakar, is the first SAP UA member university in Senegal and one of the most prestigious universities in French West Africa. It is named after the Senegalese historian and anthropologist Cheikh Anta Diop.
It is composed of 1500 faculty members and 80 000 students of which 4000 are PhD candidates.
In terms of SAP UA involvement, the first priority is Business Intelligence (BI). UCAD’s Masters program in Business Intelligence is the first one in the country and they are looking at extending it to other universities, due to the large need for BI skills.
UCAD is eager to:
- Gain an in-depth understanding of SAP products used in companies
- Familiarize their students in the use of SAP products and help students to get certified
- Give faculty members the opportunity to improve their curriculum contents as well as to be in touch with SAP UA community
