Higher Education and Research (HER) team organized the SAP APJ HER Summit in Kuala Lumpur on 11-12 November 2013 for Universities that are HER customers to discuss on the trends impacting Higher Education in APJ. Trends such as MOOCs, Big Data/Analytics, Social Media, etc. There were a total of 17 participants from 11 Universities and 1 private education providers. 

Crispian Tan, Director, University Alliances, APJ presented the new initiatives in the University Alliances which demonstrated that the program had embraced some trends that are impacting higher education - openSAP MOOCs, Associate Membership model, Ideas place – Contests, Co-Innovation and research and free software download page etc.  The messages resonated with the participants who will introduce them to their teaching faculty colleagues for their consideration to adopt into their curriculum.
