Last November SAP hosted its first ever SAPPHIRE event in China. The landmark event was also China’s largest-ever business IT event, reaching over 50,000 customers, partners, prospects, academia, influencers and SAP experts across China. With the 2011 event theme (蕴韬略促转变) of “accumulate strategy and promote change”, China SAPPHIRE introduced a platform to business attendees who saw how SAP innovations helped China businesses Run Better.
We now return to Beijing to deliver our second China SAPPHIRE. In 2012 our theme evolves to (蕴韬略促转变 共发展) “driving development through change” which supports the key topic of sustainable growth that is on both the government and private sector agendas as it is an integral part of the current 5 Year Plan in China. As China drives towards sustainable growth, SAP is dedicated to supporting over 10 high-growth and emerging industries as well as to introduce ever-new technologies through 5 market categories to enable businesses to Run Like Never Before in their pursuit for excellence.
University Alliances participation in China SAPPHIRE
538 students and professors from 9 universities in Beijing are expected to participate in the China SAPPHIRE which will be held at the China National Convention Center on 26 July 2012. In the morning session, the students will be listening to the keynotes made by Vishal Sikka and other SAP Executive Board members.
UA will also organise a special University Students Session in the afternoon for the students. The students will hear from senior SAP China Executives on SAP China Growth and strategy, learn more on University Alliances program (UA curriculum available to schools and the University student competition to be launched in August), and on career and internship opportunities in SAP China Labs and AGS. In addition, 2 partners, HP and Accenture, will speak to the students on need for SAP talents in the Ecosystem.
