SAP University Alliances Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) organized the 4th annual SAP Academic Conference APJ 2012 from 3rd to 7th July 2012 in Hong Kong. The theme was “Innovation Starts Now” in campus.

The event objective was for professors and lecturers to learn how to innovate their SAP initiative in their campuses and interact with SAP and faculties from other member schools. During the Conference, we rolled out SAP strategy and presentations on new technology and curricula on HANA and Mobile.

The CIO from SAP Customer – Nongfu Spring in China, Mr Patrick Hoo presented the key highlight by speaking of Nongfu Spring’s experience in using SAP, especially in HANA and Mobile.

The total number of participants: 187 with about 160 of them professors and faculties from UA schools and prospects of 21 countries and territories around APJ and the rest of the world.

8 hands-on workshops were conducted at one of the UA member schools’ campus for the Conference participants. The workshops were:

Mobile Application Development: Introduction to Sybase® Unwired Platform; Business Intelligence; Introduction to SAP Business ByDesign® (Certification); ABAP Programming; SAP ERP Configuration (GBI); Introduction to SAP ERP Using the ERP Simulation Game (Advanced Level); Introduction to SAP ERP (GBI); and SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) (GBI).
