What is Billing Transaction in the invoice document?

Dear All,

When I see the invoice document , (EA40) under header data I see the field Billing Transaction.

It can have various values like periodic billing, interim billing, final billing for move-out.

Can someone please tell me what exactly we mean by final billing for move - out

I can have final billing in the below 2 cases:

1. Customer switching to another supplier.

2. Customer moving out of that area.

Will the Billing Transaction Final Billing for Move -out cover both the areas?

Warm regards,

Rahul

Hi Rahul,

Final Billing for Move-Out at the time of settlement covers both the scenarios but for second scenario this is true only when the client it will going to use in some other area is different then the onle he is currently with.

May be these billing procudures will help you best in understanding different type of billings used in utilities, which are very client specific and can help you in future also.

The following billing procedures are supported:

Periodic billing is consumption billing carried out on a regular basis.

Interim billing is not controlled by scheduling functions and can be carried out manually at any time (upon customer request, for example).

Final billing is triggered when a customer moves out at the time of final settlement.

There are two types of Backbilling also which is also supported by Utilities are:

Floating backbilling is a form of monthly periodic billing. If necessary, values from previous months in a billing year are recalculated and back billed using a current value.

Period-end billing is carried out separately after a billing cycle. Periodic billings can, if necessary, be recalculated and backbilled.

Warm Regards,

Abhishek
